We work with a span of artisans, across the jewellery production, the tailors working on the clothes production, our weavers group creating beautiful silks.
The artisans I work with have taught us so much about the sustainable possibilities in Kenya. In particular the community in Wote that we work with, who work on their process of growing, dyeing and weaving Eri Silk in the most circular and sustainable way possible.
We aim to promote handmade, artisanal production in Kenya and make sure that everyone in our supply chains is paid living wage.
They integrate a large part of their community in the raising of the silk worms, their use of local barks and other natural resources to dye the fabric, and they have built up the local economy through providing jobs in hand weaving the silk.
