MADE IN KENYA
Doa pieces are manufactured and assembled with care in Kenya. The brass jewellery is custom made and produced by a group of artisans around the country's capital of Nairobi.
Our silver pieces are made by two skilled silversmiths in Mombasa, and our silk pieces are all grown and woven in Northern Kenya. We visit our studios and manufacturers often and are very much involved and hands-on in the process of development.
We prioritise fair treatment of workers and aim to minimise wastage throughout the production process by sourcing materials responsibly, up-cyling material scraps, and producing in small batches.
Our Silk team integrate a large part of their community in the raising of the silk worms, their use of local barks and other natural resources to dye the fabric, and they have built up the local economy through providing jobs in hand weaving the silk.
